Senior Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Data Engineer will lead data engineering initiatives for high-priority projects. This position requires extensive expertise in data architecture and system engineering, supporting sophisticated mission systems within dynamic environments. This is a hybrid role located in Fort Bragg, NC with the option for flex hours. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing advanced data pipelines and architecture to support high-level government objectives. Working directly on classified projects, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing data flows and employing your expertise in cloud-based solutions and data engineering tools. JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Airflow and at time NIFI to support secure and efficient data processingDevelop scalable micro-services for data handling and transformation, suitable for high-volume data ingestion and processingCurate, cleanse, and secure data to support accurate and safe data transfers across multiple classification levelsDevelop solutions to support both batch and streaming data processingIntegrate data pipelines with data lakes, warehouses, and databases, enhancing data accessibility and efficiencyWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical data requirementsEnsure adherence to data handling best practices and compliance with security requirements when working with classified datasetsEmploy data visualization techniques to make data more accessible and actionable for mission teams. REQUIRED SKILLS:PythonRegular Expression scriptingSQL: Preference for PostgreSQL and TSQL.GitDockerTrinoFamiliarity with Kubernetes and Helm charts.Deploying software in Kubernetes with Argo.AirflowNIFIElasticSearch and AWS OpenSearchWorking in a Linux environment.Database optimizationGraph database management familiarity WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDClearance: Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required.
