As we continue to scale, we are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as a true financial thought partner to the SVP of Finance and the broader executive leadership team.</p><p></p><p><b> Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Responsible for analyzing organizational budgets and performing periodic planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting</li><li>Develops key performance indicators measuring the financial health of the Company or assigned units or functions</li><li>Leads the continuous improvement of financial and business intelligence systems infrastructure to drive precision and accuracy of all financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes, as well as to provide timely, accurate and insightful analysis of financial statements, annual budgets, financial trends, and ongoing forecasts</li><li>Reviews past and current financial performance against budget and develops models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.</li><li> Develops strategies meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term financial objectives</li><li>Build, develop, and retain a high-performing FP&A team, creating a culture of intellectual rigor, speed, and commercial curiosity</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Real Estate, Technology, and Operations leaders to embed financial thinking into every major business decision</li><li>Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization</li><li>Leads the annual long-range forecast process and prepare presentation for executive management and the Board</li><li>Oversees work related to optimizing company resources and improving profitability through tactics and strategies related to pricing strategies, use of manpower, and product development.</li><li> Special projects as assigned by management</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience & Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree required, Accounting, Finance or Economics concentration preferred</li><li>CPA or other professional accounting or finance qualification strongly preferred</li><li>15+ years of progressive finance experience</li><li>Retail or CPG industry background preferred</li><li>Investment banking background (IB/ER) a plus</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in organizing and leading Finance processes, including Annual Budget, Forecasting and Strategic Planning processes</li><li>Deep understanding of balance sheets, revenue drivers, margin and reporting methodologies</li><li>Exceptional executive communication and presentation ability; you can take a complex 40-tab model and reduce it to a three-slide story that lands with a Board</li><li>Deep fluency in retail P&L economics: comparable sales, gross margin, SG&A leverage, and EBITDA flow-through</li><li>Comfort operating at both the strategic altitude and the detailed analytical level; knowing when to zoom out and when to dig in</li><li>Strong instincts around scenario construction and probabilistic thinking; you stress-test your assumptions before someone else does</li><li>Familiarity with modern FP&A platforms (Anaplan, Pigment or similar) and a genuine interest in how AI and data tools are reshaping the finance function</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Characteristics:</b></p><ul><li>A builder's mentality: you see the current state of the function and immediately start thinking about how to make it better</li><li>High impact contributor: equally effective diving into detailed analysis or presenting to executives.</li><li> Commercial curiosity: you care about understanding the business, not just the financials</li></ul><p></p><p><span>In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJs Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $270,000.00 - $340,000.00</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>This is a hybrid role.
