Adjunct Biology Faculty - Anatomy and Physiology I Lab

<dd><p><strong>Job Description: </strong><br>The Adjunct Biology Professor will teach <strong>Anatomy and Physiology I </strong>lab (BIO221) for undergraduate students. The instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging lab instruction that promotes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills. Other responsibilities include:<br></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Instruct and supervise students in Anatomy and Physiology lab sessions according to established course objectives and departmental standards.</li><li>Emphasize proper laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and the scientific method.</li><li>Assess student lab performance through lab assignments, practical exams, and participation.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.</li><li>Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure consistency and alignment of lab content with lecture courses.</li><li>Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.</li><li>Maintain compliance with all institutional, departmental, and safety policies.</li></ul><strong>Outcome: </strong><br>Provide effective and laboratory instruction that supports student learning of fundamental anatomy and physiology concepts, reinforces lecture material, and helps students develop essential laboratory and scientific reasoning skills.</dd>
<dt><h2>Essential Functions</h2></dt>

<dt><h2>Experience and Education Required</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Master’s degree or higher in <strong>Biology</strong> or a closely related field. </li><li>Experience teaching or assisting in college-level biology labs preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety, and biological principles.</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li></ul></dd>
